Sneakers have played a big part of my life since I was a tiny, tiny boy. Now, as a semi-sophisticated young urbanite, I’m going to need to store them appropriately. Given my passion for sneakers it wouldn’t feel appropriate to simply stack them away in a closet so I’m taking influence from the idea of a Victorian curio. For those of you unaware a curio is a cabinet that played a big part in a Victorian interior, it was used to prominently display the households collections without risk of tarnishing. A true curio wouldn’t really be appropriate so I’m going for a cabinet like the one pictured on the basis that it’s sturdy but also allows the collection to be easily viewed and accessed. I probably sound like a lunatic, there’s a good reason behind that.

Welcome. So, we (Ceilidh and John) are going to be using you (Tumblr) to help us to build a dream home. Initially this will be a little chaotic (that’s my fault, John) but Ceilidh will eventually rein me in and bring a sense of order and structure. For now, have a staircase.
